Adam is Reader in Environmental Engineering at Newcastle University, with ˜25 years of experience in both research and industry. He is a leading expert in the assessment of pollution sources and dynamics at the river basin scale and the development of low cost treatment technologies for pervasive waste streams, particularly in the mining and metallurgical sector.
Dr Catherine Gandy is an experienced Post Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) at NU. Catherine will be heavily involved in much of the data collection, collation and interpretation during the project.
Ms Katherine Neate is a PhD student at NU. Kat is an Iapetus Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) student, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), BGS and Coal Authority. She will be specifically investigating the role of storm events in mobilising metal contaminants.
